It&#8217;s an honor to be here.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Cigniti speaker<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Thank you, Travis, glad to be here.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Travis<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I want to start with you Rahul, would you mind briefly giving us a quick background of what you do and what you&#8217;re up to and then we&#8217;ll dive into some of the practices of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and Design Systems that we&#8217;re going to go into today.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rahul<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Thank you for the opportunity<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0I lead digital transformation and experience at Abbott<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t is one of the fortune&#8217;s top 50 most admired companies. I\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">am\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">personally interested with my team on irreversible process transformation by help<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0reduce Oracle<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8211;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0design and development waste and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">my\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">team does a lot of breakthrough<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, digital Innovations and specifically in the era of experience<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">T<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">here&#8217;s a lot of work that our team does in terms of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, experience design, design systems, technology<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0business model design, so that there could be a lot of success from a customer point of view. We are very obsessed with the customer-centered experiences. I personally take a lot of pride in problem solving and I think with the team and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">fantastic industry peers I&#8217;m connected with,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">there&#8217;s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a lot of opportunity we drove on in design thinking and service design, so that we can develop growth and experience as in strategy and also scale that for the enterprise. In<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0past, I have had cybersecurity and media background. I started my career with MTV &#8211; the music television and then I led a couple of agencies, few of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Asia&#8217;s largest where I was heading account<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0for PepsiCo and Unilever. With some of the fabulous brands, I could get time to work with them and few of the brands from the telecom side as well. It&#8217;s been an interesting journey from media agency to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">healthcare,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0but I think the fundamentals of digital is what I&#8217;m still enjoying.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Travis<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I am also a former media person and really resonate with the fact that you came from that life too.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0appreciate that.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Travis<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I can also resonate with that as well as I am Delaware<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">born and know a lot about the Philly area. Great to hear! Appreciate you both for that background and I think I want to get this episode\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">started with you Rahul. You strongly evangelize the practice of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and you&#8217;ve shared in your background that you believe\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">that d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">esign\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ystems have a true potential to transform<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0on<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0how organizations conceptualize, think, create, design, build, test and launch digital assets consistently at scale.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0my first question is, what are some of the things that organizations should keep in mind while creating an efficient design system?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rahul<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Thank you Travis. I think that&#8217;s a good question and maybe that&#8217;s the interest of a large audience as well<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0b<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ecause<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0design system is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0really hot topic. A lot of people are\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">talking,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">discussing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0experimenting<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and proceed<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0learning a lot as well.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0let me share a few of my personal experiences<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">F<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">rom my perspective<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0I think\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">design system, the way I look at, is an investment in the future of experience, especially how those experiences which are built<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">get scaled within a complex enterprise<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t is also\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0future of the team or a brand or a product\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the ability of an enterprise<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0on how<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">hey can move nimbly in a rapidly evolving market. I believe design system<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0help you succeed in\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0long run. It does help you save a ton of time and waste. Now this time and waste which is saved is not only from a design or designer perspective. You also save that waste in terms from\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ev side of it, from a QA side of it. And you\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">do that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0over time across projects, across multiple teams. Also, I think it simplifies the way enterprises and startups can build new digital assets<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ow you build that momentum which further helps you build your minimum viable or even viable products. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">design system does act like the core<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd I think it&#8217;s okay to say that a design system is like a brand recipe for success because I&#8217;ve seen, and I&#8217;m pressing\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">wall with it\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">every day<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, with my team\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it&#8217;s always changing, growing and it becomes smarter as everyone works together and tries to continually kind of build it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd take it in a positive light<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lot of people talk about style guides and design system<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lot of people still get confused about that but I will say style guide is a respected way which\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">has<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0evolved and matured over previous generations and does help as an artifact of a design process. But as you asked<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0what are these some things that all should keep in mind<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0I will say\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">design system is a culture change because it&#8217;s living itself, it&#8217;s a funded product which has a defined experience strategy for the organization. It helps framework your execution roadmaps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">gives<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0you backlog, helps you service design and experience ecosystem at scale for a brand, even for a large enterprise. So, yeah, there&#8217;s a lot of good key points in terms from a design system<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">f I have to drill down and one\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">key thing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that you would have to remember<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0would be something called a single source of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">truth.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">B<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ecause<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0by\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ature, a design system helps\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">make<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0decisions faster. And as I said earlier, it helps you reduce waste in the entire delivery track. It also helps the designers to spend more time in developing workflows\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0promotes exploring<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lo<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of concepts, do<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a lot of testing in the same amount of time with the same resources<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd it\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">also\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">helps\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">articulating<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0as well as implementing consistency across all the modules within the entire enterprise. And that&#8217;s why I say the single source of truth. That\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">criteria would<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0be another key point that all should remember.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The last point I would say is, you know, it&#8217;s all about scale.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0design system<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0do help you build scalable framework<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of repeatable, reusable components, which you have heard about this topic called system thinking, right?\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0which combined as a system thinking, they really help you provide that kind of source of truth, and it does help you across a spectrum from your brand to UX\/UI to visual design to your code.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0from\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">stablishing your brand guidelines, to moving your usability standards, to typography tone, copy<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0voice<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0iconography colors, to your code level, where you build native components, do CSS<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lot of things are there. So that&#8217;s again a key part is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0you know part from\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">single source of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">truth<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0apart from it being a bland recipe from success and apart from being an investment in the future<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t does also\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">help<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0you scale all of that.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0this knowledge is completely transferable, it is always evolving and there&#8217;s\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lot, right? I can keep talking about\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">design system over and over but what I think is an\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">interesting culture change and I see a lot of organization<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0adopting it. We ourselves are deep into\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">esign\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ystems and it is a very amazing learning curve for all of us.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Travis<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Well, thanks so much for that response. My next question is, how can an enterprise leverage\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to make its digital transformation efforts customer-centric?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rahul<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">There are lot of details in that.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Basically,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0there&#8217;s a lot of confusion about what\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd I have\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0in my profile<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lot of people confuse that by DevOps, which is okay<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">L<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">et me try to simplify this. So\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lot of people see\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it as<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a buzz word, it&#8217;s not. So\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is an approach to design, and this approach is definitely inspired by the culture of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">devops<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So, at a fundamental level<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is not about introducing new models or process in the enterprise<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s you asked<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it\u2019s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0about digital transformation efforts, I always say, transformation has to be irreversible. It&#8217;s like a caterpillar, turns into a butterfly and cannot go back.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If you are working on a project or a process change, which after that change is done, you&#8217;re going back to the previous ways of working<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t is not a transformation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">just a shiny tool implementation or something else.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is not about introducing those new models, or the process in the enterprise<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0just for the sake of it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">But it&#8217;s more about orchestrating design thinking<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0lean ways of working<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">he user centered design models or UCV models<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">with<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0other\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">best practices of Industries with the modern technology<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0because these modern technologies which we have access to right now for design<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">by using a lot of machine learning and AI<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a lot of automation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">which could be done<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, they<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0did not exist before<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0with use of this modern technology, a lot of value could be created and also delivered.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Also, I would say that\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0enterprise is more than a belief system, which does take the strength from the foundation or what\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">design<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ops<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0enterprise is all about<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It is a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lso important<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">n th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">entire transformation process is how do you empower the enterprise or an organization with the right culture<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0right process and not just that, but with the ecosystem to support the design driven process, and the data-driven decision-making<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd these two combined together gives you that agility and speed so that you can conceptualize and deliver great products<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd these are super, super critical.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You know, there&#8217;s a lot of talks about outcomes and outputs<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0I was reading a nice article within\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Harvard<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0business\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">review<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that said very nicely that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">outcomes are the benefit your customers receive from what you make<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and it starts with truly understanding what your customer need, their challenges not yours, their issues, their priorities by having the empathy walking in their shoes,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">n their neighborhoods business and culture<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">W<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">hile outputs are more like revenue and profit<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">which enables us to find the outcomes. But without outcomes, there is no need for output.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The same way, I would say\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0enables those outcomes, which really helped us to f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd and kind of enable the precise outputs which would be needed for a project or for our program around that. And how is that all done? A lot of time I have seen in\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, there&#8217;s a lot of work that you work across, which is called hypothesis driven design, which is, how can you use that to be measured as an input for design and decision-making process. And I think all these things put together again, I would reiterate<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, y<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">our culture process ecosystem, the team working together, which helps you both design driven process and data-driven decision making. I think these helps in that key transformation process which everyone looks at.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So, again, it is about the irreversible change, it is about understanding, what it can do. I think that&#8217;s why the word has become a buzzword because it&#8217;s a good SEO keyword. But I think it&#8217;s been abused to be used as everything is digital transformation. You know going to from technology changes, a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">digital<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0transformation doing this one particular thing\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s a digital\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">transformation, that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is where it fails<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. So Rahul, my next question here is as we think about how enterprises measure some of this<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, w<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">hat are some of the key metrics or KPIs that enterprises should use to evaluate the progress on the customer centric design front of their digital\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">j<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ourneys?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rahul<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I love KPI and ROI questions, I think without that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t is just all theory. And it&#8217;s very complex to figure out what KPI could work. Because for example, a KPI for a company, which is a product based, which\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0very much revenue focused\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">every time you sell something, is different versus a product where you want to increase the adoption, because it create<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0network effect<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">hey can have different KPIs<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">B<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ut let me give you a formula that I personally use. It is how can you define KPI especially across\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0or Design system, and, you could use this framework in different places of course, that will depend upon the projects, and the programs and initiatives involved.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So, look at this, in five point<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">N<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">umber one is,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">what are the things which you can do, which you can increase, or call a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">iberation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. So, what can you or where can you impact that momentum, increase, or where can you accelerate\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">things? Number one is clearly speed to the market. So, for example, if you have to create an MVP or previously to the market or creating any MVP was X<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ow, what is it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. H<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ow much time it takes for onboarding new resources because as you scale up Travis, you know, I&#8217;ve seen that more and more people join. And as more and more people joined<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">things<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">become<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0more and more complex. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0if your knowledge transfer, if you want boarding speed doesn&#8217;t catch up, you are not able to scale that momentum. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it is\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and design system freestyle.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">How you can increase the reusability, how you can increase SEO, how you can increase accessibility<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0people who have, who are living with disabilities, everything that you&#8217;re doing, is it also giving incremental value to them. Also, how can you increase the knowledge sharing and there&#8217;s some technical one within, you know, the Design Systems and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, for example, we want to increase the use of CSS classes. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0there is less code, but\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">more<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0use<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0classes and it&#8217;s kind of a technical but that&#8217;s how you can assess that, you know, what you&#8217;re doing is correct.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the first one is what you can do to increase the momentum.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Second one is what you can do to reduce, or where can you have the reduction. And a lot of things, which will come in. The reduction is, how\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">do you<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0measure waste. How do you measure how you have reduced your delivery timelines? How you measure that? How have you reduce<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0your brand exceptions? Lot of times just because something is\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">done,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and people were not aware about\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">certain<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0bland exceptions and things have to go live<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">here has to be exceptions created. But if you are following a consistent guideline with your, the correct\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0process, you would reduce the amount of those exceptions which will not percolate overall.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">How can you reduce your technical size CSS file size, or use of the components<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">which are not used at all? How can you reduce knowledge silos? How can you reduce the time to create something? How can you reduce\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ost\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">for<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">iterated<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0process<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">?\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Maybe how could you reduce shadow\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">IT<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0because I can speak a lot on\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">that.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0How can you reduce the time to first\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">prototype?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0You know, it is very important, you need to build something, the team can get together, but how long it takes for the first prototype or rapid prototype to hit your leadership inbox and where they can really play with it,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lick on it and then see how it would look and feel and how it would work and more than how to look and feel how those designs would work for the end user.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So how do you reduce possibly\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">discrepancy.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0there&#8217;s a lot of things that you can help\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">reduce<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and that could be a part of a KPI, but you should not pick all of them. You have to be very, very razor-sharp<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and razor<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0focus on what you need to do. For example, if you&#8217;re doing a design system, increase in adoption of components and reusable should be your number one KPI, right? But if it&#8217;s a different kind of projects, it could be totally different. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0what you can improve, what you can\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">reduce.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">T<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">he third one\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">where\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">can you<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0bring convergence.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0you need to create the right governance. You need to create the right frameworks. You need to have the shared ownership. I would say you need your design and dev to work together with something we call design\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">dev<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0handoffs<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">you need to have a common vocabulary. If a certain page or a feature Atomic component is being referred to something<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t is not referred to something else by the developer side of it. So how can designers, developer<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and QA<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0all converge and have a common vocabulary<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">H<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ow you can increase the use of a common tool chain, which has integrated API<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2019s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, which can do a lot of other things as well.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0what you can increase, what you can reduce, where you can converge, but also important is last two are where you can diverge, and where you can\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">iterate<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0where you can diverge, is, you need to have a personalization. Not everything should be built on for all kind of experience. How can you diverse making experiences for different kind of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">niche<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">segmentation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, and all that, you&#8217;re doing how it can help to do that. How can you do many-to-many with that kind of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">personalization.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0How can you diverse the responsiveness. How can you create experiences from an Apple Watch to an Apple TV or to an Android\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">TV?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0How can you create a tiered\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">structure?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0So, even in the governance, where you converse, but windy governance, you need to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0diverse<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to give that room a lot of experimentation. For example, bigger process could be like a solid\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ship but you need to create a lot of speed boats out of your ship to go and do some work and come back, and then you decide which one you want to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ock and which one you want to ignore it as junk.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the last one is what you can\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">iterate<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Yeah. How can you iterate your always updated documentation, you&#8217;re connected workflows<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0your process\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Improvement?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0How can you update\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">your<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">design dev<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">handoffs?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0So some of them could be mutually exclusive but a lot of them are exclusive of each other and if you can focus on what you can increase,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">what<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0you can reduce<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0where can you converge, where can you diverge? My next question for you, Rahul is, how does the atomic design methodology apply in the development of IT systems and what are some of the tangible benefits of adopting this?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rahul<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Oh, that&#8217;s fantastic question. Thank you for asking that because Atomic design is so core to the future of systems and clinking of those system thinking. So Atomic design methodology was actually based upon Brad Frost for work in 2016 and it&#8217;s like a mental model which allows designers and developers to completely rethink and reimagine how they can assemble the user interfaces in their Design Systems. And you\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">can\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">break down Atomic design into five key things.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Number one is an atom. It&#8217;s like the most basic functioning component, which you cannot break it down so that it stops becoming meaningful. For example, a button right, is an atom, of course, you can say\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a button<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is text plus a box, plus a color, but then all those three things are meaningless till the time, you combine them. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it&#8217;s a small first breakdown of an element after which it will stop being meaningful. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0button is an atom, or maybe a search icon<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is an atom or text input<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ield is an\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">atom,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0or a level<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0if you have a text input field called email and on top<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0says email as a text label<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o that&#8217;s an atom. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0this is the core block and think of it like a Lego block. So, these atoms are the tiniest element of that Lego<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0block.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">S<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o you start with Atoms and then you come with molecules, this is where it&#8217;s like chemistry class but it&#8217;s really interesting and how\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Brad<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Foss transported. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it&#8217;s like\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">toms and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">toms coming together. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0these are kind of simple group of components that come together as a function. So now they start becoming utility and they come together as a function<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">F<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">or example, a search bar or a header. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a search bar has an input function<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0has a search icon saves. This is search and when you click on it, something happens, so that entire thing becomes a molecule. And then you have organisms, which is Atoms plus molecules plus atoms\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">plus<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0molecules and N number of combinations. So now where you are seeing your Lego blocks are making a fireman or your Lego blocks are making a hospital, right. Or it&#8217;s kind of making an aircraft. At least it is making an aircraft cockpit. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0this is more complex elements that\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0coming together as a group of molecules or atoms. For example, a footer or header bar of an allegation is all coming together as an organism<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">P<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">eople also call it components. So, before what happened was, people started at design or people started at wireframes but what this Atomic design does is the step number four and five are then wireframes and pages.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it starts basically kind of ends where the previous mental framework started that. Alright, we need to work on a design option.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Let&#8217;s start putting some\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">low-quality<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0wireframes. So what it does is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it tries to standardize the most building basic blocks and by the use of system thinking, if those things are structured well, anything you build on top of it will still follow the same family. For example, if you look at any Google site,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">look<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0above their product, it could be a Gmail, it could be a Google Keep, which is the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">note taking<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0tool or it could be a calendar or even Chrome browser on the Google search itself. You know it&#8217;s from Google family because it&#8217;s all coming from the same building blocks. There&#8217;s a certain wa<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">y<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Google treat<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s its<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0buttons<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, its navigations, i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ts colors<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the way colors<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">interact<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">animates<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and that&#8217;s a beauty of that. And then<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is followed by\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">your\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">wireframes or templates, which is Page level design, which helps you figure out a structure\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0like a homepage or think of a cockpit of a Lego block without any color. It<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0just kind of a skeleton that at least, you know, you&#8217;re making an F-16 or a passenger plane. And then you come with Pages, which is then you put the real color<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">real<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0content, pictures, the right\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">fonts<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, so things really com<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">into<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0life. So Atomic design is, fantastic and to your question, how does it really apply in the development of IT systems<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0I would say, Number one,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0really helps\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">oster the collaboration. A lot of time what would happen was the designer would build their things in silos and then when developers have to come in code, they have to figure out<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, w<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ell, we have a new search\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">element,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0or we have a new navigation. Now, again, basically the design outcome would work the same, but it&#8217;s just the way<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is treated was so different because it was somebody&#8217;s stylistic choice. What this does is it focuses on how the Design works and also helps you cater to some stylistic choices and how the design looks. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">you have flexibility not taking out the creativity but it&#8217;s really helping reduce both the design and their ways because a lot of time you don&#8217;t need a new search experience when it&#8217;s already created and well tested just by a previous project. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a lot of these things comes together so that is one it really helps\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">f<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">oster the collaboration within the IT system<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I think second one is I say this a lot is called moments that matter. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> when you&#8217;re looking at any customer journey, you will love this Travis and maybe Cigniti speaker<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is no company have and this is my personal saying, no one has enough resources or capital or funding at that moment to just build everything perfectly<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. E<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">very company\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">as a real nugget of knowledge<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0needs to focus on moments that matter. For example, Uber right, one of the moments that matter in Uber is that particular moment when you are in a different country, maybe in a different city, you are previously were taking a new taxi and then the payment method was different, maybe you&#8217;re in a different country, they have a different currency, you are figuring out the chain. You may not even need to read\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">kn<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ow\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">how to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">treat the currency or you don&#8217;t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">know how the Tipping culture possibly is, and you&#8217;re trying to figure out a lot of questions every time<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">aking a taxi<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. The\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">moment that matter<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0is, when somebody is exiting a cab<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0what happens in that precise moment i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">n<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the overall customer journey<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd I think Uber fix<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ed<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that completely because your trip ends, you open the door and just walk\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">out,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0everything<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ould be figured out later<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">J<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ust by creating many such moments that matter, it completely changes the way your design works. And if your elements are not built atomic<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it is very difficult to have the right resource and in budget every time to put all the energy on designing carefully<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0designing the moment that matter<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0because if you miss that opportunity for something else, you really miss the opportunity to differentiate your product and really making a mark. So, having the right\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ego<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0blocks, helps you create everything and investing resources in the moments that matter. And I think that&#8217;s a complete Game Changer in terms of how Culture shift is happening with<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0IT. What are the things that\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0found interesting in your background\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0you&#8217;ve helped many\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nterprise level organizations with quality\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">engineering?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0I&#8217;d love if you could tell us, you know how quality engineering\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">elp them deliver a high standard of customer experience?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Cigniti speaker<\/strong>: <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Absolutely.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0if you look at it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the enterprises want to separate, you know, testing and development to get objectivity and to remove that conflict of interest.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0more importantly, the testing and quality engineering itself is a topic on its own with its own methods<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0processes<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0tools.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Which<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0means that certain amount of core expertise is needed for somebody to do a great job at\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">testing.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0And think of it like this<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">if you&#8217;re asking developers to do their own testing, it&#8217;s like asking a fox to watch them their house. And you don&#8217;t want to do that. And so, what we&#8217;re seeing is that a lot of organizations for these reasons<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are separating it out the software testing and the development component of the w<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ork<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Especially in the context of the digital enterprise<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the kind of applications that are being built, especially mobile, IoT, analytics. AI\/ML based applications, blockchain and all these concepts. Some of the things the way that we use to test no more\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">are\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">applicable. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0what it requires is that you should be able to do both<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, shift<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Left and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">shift\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">right. Meaning that having the ability to basically review the documents from a testing standpoint and ability to find those defects without a single line of code being written is extremely important. And\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">also,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that with most of these digital Technologies, the release velocity is really\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">exponential,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and the organizations are releasing multiple versions<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd in a short span of time<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">W<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">hat it also means is that you need a strategy for doing the testing and production which was a complete<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0no<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0no<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. I would say a few\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">years<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0before<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">but now that is extremely critical because of the necessity to be able to release code into production and being able to monitor how the latest code changes into the production<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0are per<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">forming on the production systems. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0in this context, what we have done as a company is also that we actually have built some IP and also processes, especially in the context of measuring the customer experience. And we actually have built a tool called sentiment analyzer, that actually tracks all the data that is especially used by the consumer tech apps and we have the ability to gather data from multiple social media platforms and basically analyze the data to check what makes sense and use that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0use all of the user feedback to be able to deliver a much better version. You know, in the future<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, t<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">hose are some of the things that we&#8217;re doing as an organization<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Travis.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Travis<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Thank you so much for that.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rahul<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I&#8217;m just thinking that&#8217;s a lot of things. And yeah, I was just curious. How do you do differently than the other organization Cigniti speaker?<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Cigniti speaker<\/strong>: <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Yeah, that&#8217;s a great question. I would say one thing is that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s a company the way that we differentiate is that<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0from the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nception of the company we just did not want to be another services company that can bring some great talent pool but also a company that has got some intrinsic value because we have built the IP and the IP is our core different<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">iator<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. And also that if you really look at it as a company that we actually<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0right now many of the leaders in their industry verticals, for example, take Airlines or take Retail or take Healthcare or Transportation<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0two or three of these top 10 companies are depending on Cigniti to drive their overall testing transformation. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0we being a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">leader in this testing, industry are able to help companies that are leaders in their own space. But could you highlight maybe one or two that stand out for you\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">briefly<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Cigniti speaker<\/strong>: <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So as a company that as we speak right now, we are working with several\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">p<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">harma companies and we also work with a lot of medical devices companies<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0especially in the context of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">iabetes and cardiovascular and those fields. We&#8217;re also working with the provider space and the entire spectrum. And actually, we are amazed by the amount of technology that is being used, especially in the medical devices space, especially those of wearable medical devices and where you are really fusing multiple technologies to offer better\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ealthcare\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">l<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ike IoT and cloud and data analytics, I mean, if you look at a medical device, it&#8217;s basically all these medical devices companies are leveraging, the power of these technologies<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd where we come into picture is that we actually are responsible and taking the responsibility of doing the end-to-end testing for these medical devices<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ll the way from the software that is being embedded into the device and the device<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0its<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">elf and also any communication that happens between the device and the data where it is being stored in the Public Cloud. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0we sort of are helping a lot of companies in putting together, the overall comprehensive, test strategy for something like this because we are talking about medical devices which means we are talking about human lives. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it is very important that that actually a comprehensive test strategy is needed. Especially since we are involved both in class 1 and Class 2 medical devices and also especially in the context of healthcare the performance and security are also\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">p<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">aramount along with protecting the information privacy of the patients. The last question for you Cigniti speaker, I know you kind of touched on this a few times earlier, but what specifically is unique about the way Cigniti helps organizations analyze and improve their customer experience? <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Cigniti speaker<\/strong>: <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Absolutely. I mean especially in the context of digital technology, there is a lot more focus on the end-user experience and making that whole experience much better<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd also<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0seamless<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0what we&#8217;re doing is that as a company that we have developed intellectual property in multiple areas<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, w<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e actually have a universal test automation framework that sort of spans across multiple technologies or tools and has the ability to work with multiple different tools in the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nterprise ecosystem and also has as a very intuitive dashboard that has the ability of doing some predictive capabilities as well.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And we also have developed an IP that actually is related to the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">q<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">uality engineering\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">p<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">laybook. Meaning that the different teams within the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nterprises are\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">sort<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0of using this\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">p<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">laybook as a reference to be able to do testing in a way that it is standardized across the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nterprise. Also<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that we\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">have<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0developed some cool tools in the context of test data management<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0test<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">en<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">vironment\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">management.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, we also have a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">d<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">eveloped<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0framework<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0to be able to check the non-functional aspects of the applications\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">early in the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0life cycle itself.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Those are some of the things that we bring to the table and if the strategy that we put together is very comprehensive with user experience<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">n mind from day one as opposed to trying to test it at the fag\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd of the life cycle<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nd I think these are the matters that sort of helping us to assure\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nterprises that the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">user experience aspect is being thought out very early in the life cycle.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that we are doing testing in a continuous manner that aspects out of validated along the life cycle.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Travis<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it&#8217;s a lot of developed IP areas in addition to helping them figure out things before<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0I love it. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> this has been such a great conversation, Cigniti speaker, and Ra<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ul<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s there anything that you&#8217;d want to add, you know, or wrap up with, you know, before we close out?\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rahul<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">:\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I would just\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">say, Cigniti speaker <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">thank you for\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">evangelizing UX<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0as well. I mean it&#8217;s really good to see how technology and testing focused companies also\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">evolving and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0getting user experience at the core. It always has been but the codes change. Now everybody&#8217;s talking about it. I think this is a very, very welcome cha<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">nge<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0thank you for that. And I think one last time to get that would be, that in the past decade of you would have heard the term called Full-stack developer. And everybody&#8217;s talking about that and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">b<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">oth of you will relate a lot to it. I would say in this decade we would see a lot of phrase and a new word or full-stack designer, which will come because of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0and Design Systems. And especially because of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">DesignOps<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0because it typically involves DevOps engineers and full-stack developer here, same philosophy, core traits and they strive for greater agility and flexibility. And that is hinting a trend towards greater generalization of the skill set of technical professional. I would say, in the case of full stack designer<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0that person would grow into a cross-disciplinary professional. Maybe he, or she would be able to handle<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0across<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0interaction design<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0visual design<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0UI development<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0even prototyping. So, I think full-stack designers. Let&#8217;s see how this kind of evolve<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, but basically, the fundamentals will remain the same. The boundary between design, Dev and QA will\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">reduce and\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">blur and eventually will become like a common thread. So<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0it will be interesting to see how soon that happens, but it is absolutely certain that that is already happening.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\"><strong>Cigniti speaker<\/strong>: <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Thank you Rahul for sparing your valuable time to be part of this initiative.
